Bihari Boti Pulao



Ingredients:

  • Beef one kg (sixteen pieces)
  • Ginger Garlic Paste Two tablespoons
  • Twenty pieces of green chillies
  • Onion two pieces (crushed)
  • A tablespoon of poppy seeds
  • One cup of yogurt
  • A teaspoon of chopped pepper
  • Four cardamoms
  • A slice of cinnamon
  • clove number six
  • bay leaf -one
  • A teaspoon of cumin
  • Half a kilo of rice (soak for thirty minutes)
  • Half a cup of oil
  • Salt to taste


Method:

  • marinate the beef with ginger garlic paste, green chillies, crushed onion, poppy seeds and yogurt for one hour.
  • Heat oil, add onion, chopped black pepper, green cardamom, cloves, bay leaf and cumin and cook for 5 to 7 minutes to remove the roughness of onion.
  • Then add the marinated beef, cook for two to three minutes, cover and cook for twenty minutes until the beef melts and the oil rises.
  • Now add two cups of water and when it starts to boil, add rice
  • Add salt (taste salt) if needed
  • Let it cook until the water is dry and the rice is three-quarters cooked
  • Simmer on low heat for 10 minutes till the rice is ready. Serve with raita
