Bihari Boti Pulao

Ingredients:
- Beef one kg (sixteen pieces)
- Ginger Garlic Paste Two tablespoons
- Twenty pieces of green chillies
- Onion two pieces (crushed)
- A tablespoon of poppy seeds
- One cup of yogurt
- A teaspoon of chopped pepper
- Four cardamoms
- A slice of cinnamon
- clove number six
- bay leaf -one
- A teaspoon of cumin
- Half a kilo of rice (soak for thirty minutes)
- Half a cup of oil
- Salt to taste
Method:
- marinate the beef with ginger garlic paste, green chillies, crushed onion, poppy seeds and yogurt for one hour.
- Heat oil, add onion, chopped black pepper, green cardamom, cloves, bay leaf and cumin and cook for 5 to 7 minutes to remove the roughness of onion.
- Then add the marinated beef, cook for two to three minutes, cover and cook for twenty minutes until the beef melts and the oil rises.
- Now add two cups of water and when it starts to boil, add rice
- Add salt (taste salt) if needed
- Let it cook until the water is dry and the rice is three-quarters cooked
- Simmer on low heat for 10 minutes till the rice is ready. Serve with raita
