Tamarind Chutney Recipe



Ingredients

  • 1 cup tamarind pulp
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup jaggery
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds roasted & crushed
  • 1 tsp dry ginger powder
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp black salt
  • 1/2 tsp chat Masala
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Method

  • Put tamarind pulp, jaggery and ginger powder in a pan.
  • Cook for 6-7 minutes.
  • until jaggery dissolved.

  • add chili powder, cumin seeds, dry ginger powder, salt and black salt.

  • Add water and cook for 20 minutes.

  • until sauce is thickened.

  • Tamarind Chutney is ready to serve.
